Inside the Deck

One deck. Two seasons.

Most conversation decks assume you are already married. This one is split down the middle, because the questions that matter before marriage are not the same ones that matter inside it.

A Look Inside

Four of the thirty.

Each card has a reflection question and then, beneath it, a deeper question. Here they are exactly as they appear in the deck.

For Singles

What do you want your intention for marriage to be?

Go deeper

If you look beneath the practical reasons — companionship, family, security — what do you actually hope marriage brings you closer to?

For Singles

Which qualities of a future spouse are non-negotiable for you?

Go deeper

And which of those qualities are you currently building in yourself?

For Married Couples

When did you last make duʿā for your spouse?

Go deeper

What would it change to pray for them by name every day this week, aloud or in silence?

For Married Couples

What does your spouse need from you that is hard for you to give?

Go deeper

Is this a limit you can grow past, or something you need to speak honestly about?

How to Use Them

Simple, on purpose.

01

Choose your half

Singles draw from cards 1–15. Married couples from 16–30. The two halves are written for different stages, so you are never handed a card that does not fit where you are.

02

One card at a time

Read the reflection question, then the deeper question beneath it. The first opens the conversation; the second is where it usually gets honest.

03

Sit with it

These are reflective, not a quiz. Some cards work over a coffee; others take a week to answer honestly. There is no order and no clock.

04

Print or read

The A4 PDF prints and cuts cleanly at home, or you can read from a phone and write your answers in a notebook.
